What’s New?
We’ve been busy at the Micro Neighborhood Alliance (MNA)!
Since our last update, we’ve applied for the Urvashi Vaid Changemakers Grant, attended environmental justice trainings to prepare for a Tier 2 grant application, and submitted abstracts to speak at conferences later this year. We’re also thrilled to welcome Jackie Mehtugq Week Saltalamacchia as our Research Specialist. In addition to her work with MNA, Jackie serves as the Cultural Council Director for the Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe, bringing an essential perspective on stewardship, sustainability, and resilience.
We’ve been keeping up with FEMA and federal program updates while continuing to develop new initiatives, including efforts to update Provincetown’s flood maps and improve the town’s CRS rating to help lower insurance costs for residents.
We’re also excited to collaborate with Charlotte Hoffman, Product Development Lead at Kind Designs (www.kinddesigns.com), whose work on Living Seawalls™ aligns with our resilience efforts. Additionally, we continue working with Joan Berkowitz, FAPT, a leading expert in architectural conservation and material science, ensuring new technologies support Provincetown’s historic fabric.
We’d love for you to peruse our website to see what’s new. We’re grateful for your interest and support—please feel free to reach out anytime!
Onward with Right Intention, Right Effort,
Ginny
